Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how HumanizeAI ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Text you submit
When you click Humanize, the text you entered is sent to our servers and to our AI processing provider to generate the rewrite. If you are not signed in, we do not store that text after the request finishes. If you are signed in, we save the original and rewritten text to your private history so you can view it later. You can delete history items at any time from your dashboard.
Account information
If you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile details provided by Google. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
Usage data
To enforce free-plan limits we record the time and word count of each request, together with a one-way hash of your IP address and a random session identifier stored in your browser. We cannot reverse the hash to recover your IP address.
Payment information
If you buy a paid plan, payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details. We store your plan, subscription status and billing period.
Cookies and local storage
We use local storage for your theme preference, your session identifier and your sign-in session. Our advertising partners may use cookies as described below.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain and improve the Service.
- To enforce plan limits and prevent abuse.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your submitted text to train AI models.
3. Advertising
Free users may see ads served by third parties such as Google AdSense. These vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Paid subscribers do not see ads.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service (hosting, database, authentication, AI processing, payments, advertising), when required by law, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger. Providers are bound to use the data only to perform services for us.
5. Data retention
Usage records are kept for up to 90 days. Account data and history are kept until you delete them or close your account. Contact messages are kept for up to two years.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and row-level database security so each account can only access its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
