What happens behind the scenes
When you click Humanize, your text is sent over an encrypted connection to our servers. We pass it to a large language model with strict instructions: keep the exact meaning, every fact, name and number, and the original language. Change only how it is said.
The model is told to vary sentence length the way people naturally do, to avoid the stock phrases that make AI writing easy to spot, and to skip em dashes, which have become a common giveaway. It returns only the rewritten text, with no added commentary.
What it won't do
- It won't invent facts, quotes or sources.
- It won't translate your text into English unless it was already in English.
- It doesn't guarantee any particular score on AI detection tools. Detectors are inconsistent, and we focus on writing quality instead.
Your privacy
If you're not signed in, we don't store your text. If you are signed in, your rewrites are saved to your private history so you can find them again, and you can delete any of them at any time. Read the full Privacy Policy.
